Navigating through life: Five ways to create happiness.

Through my discovery journey of navigating through life, I discovered the importance of creating happiness for oneself and it comes with effort, especially when you are winding through trauma. Happiness is a state of mind that many are struggling to achieve.

The following are the Five ways to create happiness:

  1. Develop a positive mindset: Work on changing your mindset from negativity to positivity. It is okay to feel that you are yet to fulfill your dreams, and it is also important to understand that fulfilling one’s dreams is a gradual process. Remind yourself that you are in control of your life and express gratitude for your achievement, e.g., write your achievement and tell yourself you are in a better position than yesterday.
  2. Create a Healthy Lifestyle: Sometimes take a deep breath and get enough sleep to improve your mood. When you deprive yourself of sleep, you get easily worn out and your brain gets strained. Eat fruits, take a multivitamin, and smell nice.
  3. Prioritize yourself: The love for oneself is the greatest love. Take yourself out, buy yourself a gift often, learn new skills, and read more books. While some of us like to help others without considering how it might affect us, we need to understand when to be mean with our time and spend more time with ourselves to learn more about growth. This can also help to discover more about ourselves and become creative.
  4. Pray: We need to understand the importance of prayer. There is a difference between praying hard and praying without ceasing. We are often tired of praying because it seems God does not answer our prayers. God listens, and we need to stop worrying. Write your prayer point inside a book, be specific with your prayers, manifest them in your life, and watch your life move forward. Life gets exhausting sometimes, and we are short of prayer. Please ask God to lead in your life.
  5. Keep Good Company: Your family and friends should bring the best out of you, cheer you up, and mention your name when they see an opportunity that will be useful for you. Stop keeping a crowd of people who are toxic in your life and keep quality. Having toxic people surrounding your life will break you. Accept you and have amazing people in your space. You deserve a peaceful life.
